Servoy user license exceeded message

Hi,

Servoy version: Servoy 3.1.x
OS: Windows Server 2003
Wireless connection from kiosk to Servoy server

We have a client who is running a kiosk based application using the old servoy version. Currently they have 10 user licenses for 10 kiosks. Over the past month they have occasionally found that one of the kiosk is not able to connect as they get the “Servoy licenses exceeded” message. The way they get around now is by restarting the Servoy server. It seems to me that the kiosk smart client disconnects but the servoy server still has the kiosk client registered.

As the smart client is communicating with the wireless internet connection. Could it be that due to the wireless connection the smart client gets dropped but the Servoy Server still has it registered?

Are there any suggestions on how we can resolve this issue. Future plan is to upgrade the Servoy server, but for now we need to know if is it the wireless network infrastructure that could be at fault or some other factors could be affecting it.

yes if the kiosk does not close a client correctly (so it loosed connections or terminates in another way) the client on the server is being kept around a little bit longer.
(to see if the kiosk is coming back, but if the kiosk starts a new client it will never come back)
It will be cleaned up after a while but that can take about 20 minutes to a bit more (+/-)

You should see this on the admin pages of the server, how many clients are there? Maybe you could try to figure out which one it is that is not connected anymore and try to kill it straight from the admin page.
