Simple Object Animation

Hi All,

I was developing a solution for a customer, and I created methods for “flying” objects in/out top/bottom of a form. Also, I created a method for “bouncing” objects (like OS X task bar).

The attached solution DOES NOT require any plug-ins/beans. Was exported from 2.2.3 - so you need that version to import the solution.

I hope you enjoy it!

Hi All,

I hope you enjoy it!

Very nice, Bob :-)

Great work Bob

Who needs Powerpoint now we can create cheesy effects in Servoy :)

Have a great Xmas

You the man, Bob

BUT, Rich Coulombre is also numero uno on animation !

Harry

Thanks for the link, Harry! Rich’s animations are cool as well - and much easier to understand than my code. :D

The interesting thing in my code is the ability to have objects “fly” in and out either as a group, or individually. All the parameters, except the array of objects and which direction to “fly” are optional parameters (even the form is an optional parameter).

Anyway, I hope someone finds a use for it.

Cheers!

Bob, Harry et al,

Being an evil, litigious, red blooded citizen of the USA I must seize upon this egregious disregard for my legal rights to any and all animations related to Servoy. I have contacted my lead attorney, Jackie Chiles, to begin an extensive, capricious and long-winded legal attack on this outrageous, irresponsible and outlandish behavior.

First, Harry, thank you for bringing this damaging, damning and illogical behavior to the attention of this community (you’ll get your customary 10%). And to my good friend Bob… we intend to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law in every court in the land! As usual, a six-pack of good beer could bring this matter to an immediate closure.

Sincerely,

Rich “The Grinch”

Rich - booze is now in the post… I apologize if this fantastic solution has put to shame your pathetic little “animation” scripts.

Yahoo-dorai, yahoo-dorai, welcome Christmas, yahoo-dorai…

Rich

You need to be careful about relying on the evidence of Harry.

Anyone who signs off “Meery Christmas” has obviously started the Xmas celebrations much too early and wasn’t seeing animations but merely having trouble focusing.

Must go - I need to check if CusickColumbreAnimations.com is available - should be worth something once the fights over.

Have a good one

BTW, I have spoken a really disappointed and completely drunk powerpoint developer in the red light district this afternoon.

He is also about to go to court and claim whatever he can claim to secure is sorry future…

Cheers and Merry Christmas…

Marcel,

I just got an email from Bob’s wife Brenda. She said he has abandoned the family, become mentally unstable, is drinking heavily due to the pressures of the impending legal actions, and keeps mumbling something about how his animations are better.

Did that person in the red light district look at all like Bob?

;-)

Rich

hmm, now that you mention it…

No, he was as outgoing as Bob but this was a really short guy. Looked a lot like a midget with the weight of the world on his shoulders.

That clearly is good news. Bob’s family certainly could not survive on any income he might earn in the red light district…

Rich

IT2BE:
the weight of the world on his shoulders.

That weight wouldn’t be Suspended Animation, would it ?

If Bob sticks to window cleaning and making curtains then he would make a fortune down there !

Cheers
Harry — still waiting for the usual 10%

Hmm, don’t think so.

It was meant literally, the guy playing atlas with a spinning globe on his back so I think he was in an indefinitive loop

Come on man! Did you see my first Servoy demo 5 years ago with the animated bird jumping in Sine motions across the screen, now that was some animation! Be a local!

What do you mean, bird ?! It was Jan Blok being chased with a sharp stick until he got the Version 1 bugs fixed

Cheers
