I have tried to install SQL Anywhere 10 on my mac and it just bounces in the dock. Then says the program “not responding”. I have called Sybase and they tried but are not willing to put too much time in solving my problem because they do not support “free” developer versions. I am using a MacIntel 2.16/2GB Ram/100GB HD. The iAnywhere v.macosx_GA_sa1000.2541.tar.gz.
Any help here would be appreciated on how to install this.

There’s a bug in the installer.
You have to put the “ga1000” folder into your home dir.
It took me an hour to figure it out. Hope Sybase guys can fix it…
Worked Like a charm. I have been working on this over two weeks. I thought it was one of my many programs causing a conflict. What took you an hour, Sybase worked with me 3 days and gave up.
Thanks again.

I work at Sybase and took this case. What Trini forgets to mention is that he is not available at the phone number he gave. This case is still open. While it is general knowledge that developer editions are not supported, I went above that and tried to help him.
MAC is not a popular platform for us at this point. I went through the installation with no problem. Perhaps we need to start with a fresh install.
