I’ve run Servoy Developer on this G5 iMac, but not recently. In fact the old version is long gone. I’ve now run the 2.2.5 Servoy installer, run Developer and let it go through its first time setup. Without doing anything, modifying anything I quit Servoy and in the Activity Monitor quit dbsrv9. In other words, Servoy is at a cold start.
If I now launch Servoy for a second time Servoy launches but Sybase doesn’t. No dbsrv9 gets started. And of course Servoy can’t find its Repository.
Reformatting this Mac and re-installing this Mac’s suite of apps and data files from scratch is just not an option.
Is there a way to force Sybase to boot prior to launching Servoy? I could live with that work around.
Your post is a bit confusing. We don’t get the reformatting bit. For Servoy there is no need to format, ever. If you do ‘unknown’ stuff to your mac and are unsure of what was done: If you have a java greater than 1.4 and you install servoy in a clean directory it will always work. If it doesnt email us the servoy and sybase logfile and we’ll make sure to correct your problems or mistakes

Java version is 1.5.0_05_64.
I’ve just gone through a difficult Servoy operational issue on an Xserve that ultimately was only resolved by reformatting the Xserve and then doing a new install of Servoy. Given that the Xserve was only running Servoy and the website, that was doable. But is definitely not on this iMac G5.
