tabpanel vs multiline portals

Hi,

is there any advantage (except the fact of avoiding to create a new form) in using a multiline portal instead of a related tabpanel (which seems to give me much more freedon in arranging elements, sorting records and so on…)?

Except for less overhead/memory usage I don’t know any (dis-) advantage of a portal…

if you can reuse the same tabpanel in 2 places..
(not in the same form at once but in different places)
the choice for a tabpanel is even better.
