What exactly is the Servoy 4 Sybase default install

Hello

I am in the process of setting up our new server, a Mac Pro. I installed Servoy 4.0.1 and would now like to install Sybase Central.
My question: What exactly is installed by Servoy 4?
As far as I found in the Servoy docu it only says: “iAnywhere SQL Anywhere Adaptive Server 10 is included as the default database option
with the full install of Servoy 4.0”

In the SQL Anywhere installer, there are 3 main topics:

  • SQL Anywhere
  • Synchronisation
  • Tools

Is the full set of subtopics under SQL Anywhere and Synchronisation installed as default in Servoy 4?

Best regards, Robert

Robert

By default Servoy ships with the Sybase 10 database. If you wish to use the SQL Anywhere tools like Sybase Central, then these are a separate (free - reg required) download from Sybase iAnywhere’s website.

Hi

Yes I know, what I meant is what exactly is in the “default” of Servoy 4?

As far as I can see there is only 1 download for SQL Anywhere containing the db and syncs and tools, see the attached screenshot. My question is, whether all the non-checked components (in my screenshot) are installed by default in Servoy 4?

Regards, Robert

Servoy only bundles the network server and some command line utils (see the contents of your sybase_db directory)

For sync you need Servoy Offline, if you need Servoy Offline you will have to contact sales at servoy dot com for purchasing licenses as the product is not listed as a standard product in our store (yet). Once purchased the (licensed) sync libraries will be provided. Servoy Offline costs the same as Servoy Client except that you pay per installed seat as opposed to per concurrent user.

Hi Jan

Thanks for giving the details!
