Where do I click to create a menu?

Hello everyone!

Welcome to probably the stupidest question you’ve seen today! (Unless you’ve opened Twitter before, then I cannot guarantee it.) Here is a breakdown.

I want to create a menu, in the likes of what I am seeing in this doc:

I wish to right click on the menu button, yet, I unfortunately cannot, for a stupid reason: there is no menu button in my list:

I am new to Servoy and therefore, probably not doing anything correctly. With that in mind, does anyone see what idiocy I could have made to be in this annoying situation?

My first instinct is to blame the version I am on (Version: 2024.3.5.3948_LTS) but I can’t be quite sure, I don’t know enough about Servoy’s history to make such a conclusion.

Would a knowledgeable Servoy user share his/her wisdom?

Hum, I somehow ended up discovering this reference to a menu in plugins. Is this related ? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

What version of Servoy are you using?

visual menu editor was introduced in 2025.03

@IamNotGoodAtThis check out the 2025.3 release webinar. It has some demo of the (new) event model.

There are different ways to do it, but hopefully this video explains it well enough. (It’s about 3/4 the way through the video)
