where to start as an filemaker developer

Hi There,

We have been looking at servoy for some time now. And we think we are now ready to take the jump.
Where should we start. When we started out with filemaker I examined a solution from Matt Petrowsky. This example teached me a lot.

What advise would you give me ? Are there any good examples available ?

I suggest you start out by sitting back and reading The Servoy Beginner’s Handbook by Adrian McGilly which is available online at http://www.mcgilly.com. It is easy reading and will help you to start “thinking Servoy”.

Having a FileMaker background you might want to read the Servoy Advanced Programming Guide for FileMaker Developers by Servoy.

In as much as you mentioned Matt Petrowsky, I suggest you look at an old movie he made regarding a Rapid Search technique for Servoy. Both Matt’s movie and the Advanced Programming Guide are very old (2003), but are still good. Matt’s movie can be downloaded at: http://forum.servoy.com/viewtopic.php?t … +technique
