Hi
With 5.1 I took a new run-up to try to install the WOLips/Entity Modeler plugin (http://wiki.objectstyle.org/confluence/display/WOL/Home) into the Servoy Developer. Unfortunatly I had still no luck. Although I was able to complete the installation without any errors, I don’t see WOLips in the New Project window where it should appear as a folder, containing the various WOLIps app possibilities. See also attached screenshot.
The JAR files are as expected in the Servoy > developer > plugins folder and the features are in the Servoy > developer > features folder. So this looks correctly.
I have been told at my first trial some time ago Servoy Eclipse where still not a standard Eclipse environment, so installing third party plugin would may be not work. Is this still true with version 5.1?
Regards, Robert
did you install WOLips for Eclipse 3.5 ? (it seems this plugin does not fully support 3.5 yet)
Yes, I did install the nightly build for Eclipse 3.5.

This means you downloaded the plugin right ? I would suggest you use the Update Manager.
servoy 5.1 is just a pretty normal eclipse installation where you should be able to install pretty much all plugins
And if i look at your screen shot it did install just fine.
But if you just install a clean eclipse 3.5 install and then install those plugins (as laurian already hinted) is there then a change in ui compared to servoy 5.1 including those plugins?
Are you sure that you look at the right places? For example are there any views or perspectives now added?
Hi Laurian, I did use the Update Manager to download WOLips.

Hmm, also tried to install but the menu items are not added. I see the perspective is added. Not sure if it happens because of WOLips not being stable on 3.5 or because of something that we do. You can try what Johan suggested.
Hi Johann
If you look at the 2 attached screenshots, you see one installation with a Java Eclipse IDE, the other one is the Servoy Eclipse IDE. Problem is I don’t even see WOLips when I make a New Project, so I do not have much of a chance to do more ![Confused :?]()
I got the Entity Modeler perspective added in Servoy Eclipse 8as in the standard install on Java Eclipse, but although it’s there if I open it it does not load the perspective.
Any idea?

Hi Laurian
Thanks very much for looking at this! I think you found the same as I did, don’t see the menus. I of course know even much less as you as I can’t say if or what’s going wrong with Serclipse. But I would assume I should at least see the menus.

Hi Robert,
anything shows in your Eclipse .log file?
You can see it right in Servoy, choose to display the view General > Errors Log
Hi Patrick
I can’t find the menu you mention in Servoy, not in Preferences, not as an app menu. Or do you mean to look somewhere else?

You can find that view via Menubar > Window > Show View > Other… . Then expand General and select Error Log.
Hi
@ Robert - Thanks!
@ Patrick - I have 2 errors in the log, beside 4 warnings and the rest is information.
See attached screenshot.
@ Servoy guys - I can send you the whole log as text file, if it would help.

Hi Robert,
The warnings are not a problem.
But if you double-click on the 2 errors, you should have a Stack Trace…
It will not tell me anything, but it could tell Servoy something and it should tell something to the WOLips authors, it seems they have a problem with their preferences, the stack trace will help them understand what’s wrong.
