Wrong behaviour Alt/Option key on MacOS

When I try to input text with higher ASCII characters like M-i or M-t I need to use the Alt/Option key in MacOS. For instance [Alt] e followed by e gives me M-i.
In Servoy, typing [Alt] e opens a “Windows” styled Edit menu pending from the titlebar (see picture). [Alt] t opens the Tools menu in the same way, etc.

Besides being completely unexpected and unwanted behaviour for MacOS users, it is impossible to insert the desired characters.

Servoy 2.0b4, G4 800MHz(2x), MacOS X 10.3.2

I noticed this today too. I tried to enter " ? " and*^Z^T*^G^F

oops, this .php scipt uses also “alt + xyz” commands.
No good idea on a mac :(

Will there soon be any remedy for this problem?

Things like this will keep me from switching to Servoy!

We will look into it. But i think this is a apple/mac problem that apple has to solve. Maybe it is some setting we have to set. Will search for that.

There are no key combinations to open specific menus. Once a menu is open you can navigate the menus with the arrow keys.
[Control] F2 opens the first menu (the apple menu) when this option is enabled in the Universal Access Control Panel
This description is for MacOS X 10.3.2

i have fixed this for the mac.
We don’t set any mnemonic keys anymore for menu(items)
will be available in 2.0b6 and higher

Thank you so much!
