Our custom desktop icon for the smart client does not show correctly on Windows 8. The shortcut is there and it works too, but it shows a white icon: [attachment=1]icon.png[/attachment]
Weird thing is the reference can be found by showing the icon properties and also the file is actually there:
[attachment=0]icon_properties.png[/attachment]
Clearing Java cache and deleting .servoy does not fix the issue.
I see some problems regarding this issue for Java 7, but I’m running Java 6 and it also happens to me.
When I place another .ico in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\50, and select it as the shortcuts icon, it does not work.
When I place the original .ico in another location for example the desktop, and select it as the shortcuts icon, it does work.
So it seems the shortcut cannot reach into %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\50 to get its icon.
Is there any progress with this issue?
I also have problems with our icon on Windows 8.1
The first time it looks normal with our custom icon. But when i start the solution a second time the icon becoms white and it seems the shurtcut will be recreated.
