I am having trouble getting rid of the background (behind the rounding) when I use a Special Matte border on a button. I have set the rounding radius high to demonstrate in the attached graphic.
The rounded rectangle is the desired effect; the button is the undesirable effect.

I don’t think you can solve that.
You can enable transparency but then you loose your color (obviously).
I guess you need to use a transparant button over a (colored) rounded rect.

Thanks - looks like the border as I see it is the way it is … sounds like the rounded rectangle and transparent button is the way to go.
