Problems after Eclipse update

I have “Automatically find new updates and notify me” enabled and was notified that there are updates ready. I carelessly updated without making sure what the updates are - so far I never had any problems. I think it had something to do with the EMF, but I’m not sure. It was two updates that I installed.
I had to restart Eclipse after the update and the workspace could not be built. After the restart, Servoy specific components were gone, including the Servoy menu; now it shows SWT. Furthermore, in preferences there’s no Servoy section anymore.

When I look at the configuration, I see that the Java Development Tools are not configured correctly. The status is:

Plug-in "org.eclipse.jdt" version "3.3.1.r332_v20080131" referenced by this feature is missing.

How can this be fixed?

Thanks!

4.1 wont be changed in this way, you need to use the base install servoy comes with.

In Tano (5.0) this is improved and now Servoy is (or can be) installed as a set of plugins in a 3.5 eclipse install.

I’m not quite sure whether I described my problem precisely enough. My installation was working fine (I did use the Servoy base install), then I installed the update that Eclipse notified me of…
Does that mean I can’t fix it and have to reinstall Servoy? Which components in Eclipse should be updated and which ones shouldn’t?

yes it was clear, and if there is no servoy perspective anymore (window->open perspective->other) then i am afraid that your install is corrupt and you need a new install

You shouldnt update any thing eclipse related. Only the extra plugins you install yourself
