I always thought the SQL Explorer plugin was already installed with Servoy 5.0 but last friday I found out why I had this notion.
When you install any plugins via the built-in Eclipse installer then Servoy will ALSO install the SQL Explorer plugin. Even if you didn’t check it.
Last friday there was an issue with the download (md5 hash was different) and consequently it gave me an install error. Of course I wasn’t installing SQL Explorer but ANOTHER plugin so this threw me for a loop for about 30 minutes because the same issue popped up when I tried to install a completely different plugin to see if that worked. I even did a re-install.
I finally fixed it by disabling the SQL Explorer update site. (the md5 hash issue was eventually fixed the next day)
So my question. If Servoy wants this plugin to auto-installed why not put it into the installer in the first place.
I mean, as far as I know the plugin won’t EVER be installed unless the user installs something else via the built-in Eclipse installer.
Right now it gets installed unannounced and I am not sure if I like that (to use a HUGE understatement).
