Force a reinstall of client

Having to undergo a fair bit of pain in using new versions of plugins and servoy upgrades to the application server. The last combination of new jasper report plugin and 5.2.7 server upgrade seems to break clients (which work fine after a forced reinstall). Its not so bad for me as on premises solution sites can manage this themselves as needed, but would be a real issue with a SAAS server with several hundred clients which somehow need to be told to uninstall and reinstall the smart client for the solution to work properly.

Is there any way in the app server to force a full client reinstall upon the next time the client connects to the server (after server restart)?

you can’t forge it, webstart should do that for you, and in the latest releases this really should go ok.

do you have servoy.fastClientStartup option on the admin page set to true? Maybe this will cause (at least once) a error when starting up your client, but the second start this should be corrected.
