Hello,
I really like the new editor for i18n in 2.1b4. Some things seem to be a bit sluggish, though. I think I managed, for example, to override a Servoy entry by accident.
What I miss is this:
- a button “New”, so I am sure that I am doing a new entry
- the ability to delete a “label package” (all languages) or at least single entries
- nice to have: the ability to rename a label
- nice to have: a toggle that hides Servoy messages
- filter possibilities (for example I name my button labels button.xxx, so when I am dealing with buttons it would be cool to filter only those)
Last: what is the last entry line good for? I couldn’t figure that out…
Thanks
Patrick
oops: I found out the functionality of the last line! Forget the filter request!
Yep, very much like it as well.
One comment though: when selecting the Locale combo in the Property Editor of an element, hitting the “N” to jump to “Nederlands” or “E” to jump to “English” (for example) doesn’t work. You have to scroll…
In the Locale menu for Application Preferences this does work.
Also, it seems to me that the Locale country list under Application Preferences is a lot more extensive than the list in the ComboBox of the Property Editor. Is that logic?
And the option to, as a developer, limit the number of Locales that appear in the Developer and Client, is that something that might be a future feature? For example, I just want to have Dutch and English in there.

1> new is automatic currently, if you type a key that isn’t there (change a current one) then it will be inserted as new.
2> i will add a delete key yes in the table. This will delete the key (and all its messages). So then you also have <3> because just rename and save the key, and delete the old one.
4 and 5 can be handled by the ‘last entry line’ in will put 'filter ’ before it ![Smile :)]()
I will look at the combobox selecting with a keystroke (already stumbled myself on that thing)
That list is are only the unique languages of all the locales.
